Our Spaces

The Studio Theatre

The Studio Theatre is our largest space, ideal for staging all types of entertainment and corporate functions. The versatile space offers excellent acoustics with state of the art sound equipment, lighting, PA system, and projection facilities. The Studio Theatre can accommodate 100 patrons seated or up to 150 for standing events.

The Workshops

Ambience is key to getting the tone just right for group work and the natural light plus the first-rate facilities of ISLAND Arts Centre workshops provide the ideal place to get creative. With a dynamic range of uses from small arts and crafts workshops to places for staff training, the versatility of the workshops can be utilised to meet your requirements.

The Galleries

Art is about being inspired and we think the same of our premium gallery spaces. ISLAND Arts Centre has two Galleries for hire, either separately or combined, offering an ideal environment for exhibitions and special events. Exhibitions can be fully invigilated and installation is available if the individual would like it.

The Pottery Studio

This professional pottery studio - complete with kilns and potters’ wheels - is always a hub of creative activity. It’s hands-on work, and with stools and tables arranged to give maximum use of the creative space, it’s ideal for small classes, demonstrations or even individual use. It boasts beautiful views of the River Lagan outside through its large picture windows. Perfect for energising the creative spirit.

Rehearsal Rooms

The perfect, uninterrupted music rehearsal space for bands, music classes, workshops and individual practice. A great space for your band to rehearse, for music tutors to teach and solo artists to practice.

The Dance Studio

With room and facilities devoted to exploring the grace of dance and physical movement, The Dance Studio is a dream space filled with natural light. If you have a small dance or theatre production it’s the ideal place for rehearsals. All types of dance can be explored from ballet to banghra and everything in between.
