Jazz Ireland, the dedicated platform for promoting and supporting Irish jazz, is seeking passionate and skilled individuals to join its inaugural Board of Directors. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the vibrant development of Irish jazz and help guide Jazz Ireland into a sustainable and impactful future.
Established in 2016, Jazz Ireland has been at the heart of the jazz community, promoting over 5,000 events across 500+ venues, producing 130 podcast episodes, and reaching audiences in over 40 countries. As the sole national platform for Irish jazz, Jazz Ireland has built a reputation as an essential hub for artists, audiences, and the wider jazz community. Now, with recent funding from the Arts Council and incorporation underway, the organization is ready to take the next step in its journey.
What We’re Looking For
Jazz Ireland is seeking board members who can bring expertise, strategic insight, and integrity to support our mission of promoting Irish jazz locally and internationally.
We are particularly interested in candidates with skills and experience in the following areas:
- Strategic and Business Planning: Particularly within the arts or non-profit sectors.
- Fundraising and Development: Including corporate partnerships, sponsorships, and diversification of income streams.
- Accounting and Financial Management: Expertise in managing budgets and financial planning for non-profits.
- Arts and Culture Experience: With a strong understanding of the music sector and how it interacts with broader cultural initiatives.
- Marketing and Public Relations: Especially in the context of events or cultural organizations.
Board members will play a key role in:
- Shaping Jazz Ireland’s strategic and business planning.
- Supporting funding applications and diversifying funding sources.
- Advising on organizational growth and stability.
- Identifying opportunities for partnerships and collaborations.
- Overseeing the continued development of Jazz Ireland’s activities, including its events calendar, blog, and newsletter.
