The Dirty Jazz club have been a massive part of the Dublin Jazz scene for around 15 years. Their focus is on the exploration and deconstruction of songs and an emphasis on creating a depth and textural soundscape on the melody, form and feel of the tunes.
Cookin’ Dublin has teamed up with Jazz at Juno and BAKAKANZ to bring you a new residency on the first Sunday of the month.
BAKAKANZ are a newly formed, horn-fronted 5-piece jazz-funk ensemble based in Dublin. Expect a night of of energetic music featuring arrangements from the likes of Freddie Hubbard, Art Farmer, Tower of Power, Butcher Brown and Ezra Collective.

Zak Irvine is a Belfast-based jazz pianist and bandleader originally from Bangor. He is currently studying a BMus in Music at Queen’s University. With a foundation in classical music, Zak has honed his piano technique from a young age, developing a polished and versatile style.

Phil Robson is a UK born, multi-award-winning guitarist & composer who was a seminal part of the London scene for many years before relocating to New York City in 2015 for five years. He is now based in the West of Ireland.
