Elio Rojas Trio, upholding the latin jazz, fused with Afro-Cuban culture and roots, mixed with European classical music and Cuban rhythms. Performing original songs and arrangements which present the jazz standards in a unique style. With an intimate atmosphere and a gentle mood, the audience will engage with Elio on a musical journey.

We’re delighted to welcome organist/pianist Ray McLoughlin, to take the stage at Arthur’s. Ray McLoughlin is a session musician, producer and arranger who has toured and recorded an array of top artists for over 30 years.

Cooper and band will take in a selection from the many artists who have prevailed upon Gadd’s signature style and groove, such as James Taylor, Paul Simon, Steely Dan and Chick Corea. Expect a selection of iconic grooves and fills including ’50 Ways To Leave Your Lover,’ ‘Aja’, ‘Night Sprite’, and more.

West coast jazz or cool jazz as it became known, was a response to the frenetic sounds of bebop and hardbop that was being played in New York. With it’s California cool and emphasis on the arrangements rather than just the soloist, it was associated with the beach culture of the emerging young artists of the 1950s.
