2017 was a busy year for Wexford jazz drummer Kevin Lawlor with sell out performances in Wexford Library and Wexford Arts Centre during the Opera Fringe festival as well as several themed shows focusing on particular iconic jazz artists during the year. He also played 5 shows with Mary Stokes Band during the Cork Jazz Festival.
This performance will showcase a new line up of young Irish talent playing new music composed or arranged by Lawlor. The lineup for this project will present music with a contemporary sound and approach yet maintaining the values of traditional jazz.
Kevin Lawlor - drums
Pat Molitor - piano / keys
Alex O'Keeffe - guitar
Adam Nolan - tenor saxophone
Jack Rufus Kelly - bass
''Lawlors abillity to play non stop yet with great delicacy and subtlety as required makes him one of the most inspiring musicians around''
