Bert Stern’s award winning documentary Jazz on a Summer’s Day was shot at the famous 1958 Newport Jazz Festival in Rhode Island. It was one of the first jazz films ever to be produced in colour and features all the Jazz greats in this beautiful restoration of the film. It also features rock ’n’ roll and R&B artists Chuck Berry and Big Maybelle as well as a sublime set by gospel legend Mahalia Jackson.
