Having met at the final of the Montreux Jazz Festival Guitar Competition in 2006, Björn Solli and John Moriarty have continued to play together since, in various settings.
Solli has played extensively in Norway with his own group Solid, as well as with Seamus Blake, Aaron Parks and many others. John Moriarty is at the forefront of jazz guitar in Ireland, having performed with Louis Stewart from the early 2000s and currently in groups led by Richie Buckley as well as his own quartet. In this setting the guitarists explore well-loved standards as well as original arrangements and compositions. This evening also features one of Ireland's finest rhythm sections with Barry Donohue on double bass & Kevin Brady on drums.
They are joined by bassist Barry Donohue and drummer Kevin Brady.
