Darragh Hennessy Trio

Darragh Hennessy has been active in the Dublin jazz scene as a sideman for the last 10 years but with this new trio he takes on the role of leader. Mostly known for his organ playing, this trio sees his return to his first instrument, piano. An experienced performer, Darragh has done a lot of playing internationally in cities such as New York, Chicago, Barcelona and Tokyo.

Also known as a composer, Darragh released his debut album 'Duchenne Smile' in 2019 featuring many of his own original compositions, written for organ trio. For this set the group will play a mix of Darragh's new compositions and an eclectic mix of jazz standards.

For this set he is joined by Dublin powerhouse rhythm section, Dave Redmond and Sean Carpio. Redmond and Carpio are known for being the rhythm section for Louis Stewart for many years as well as being world class performers in their own right.

Scott's Jazz Club is a Thursday night Jazz concert/ livestream event at Ballyhackamore club on No. 1 Sandown Road, East Belfast. The concert price is £15 and includes Bangladeshi finger food . The drink prices are really low as well!
