Lulu’s Jazz Club is glad to present Rosa Passos’s Clarinetist LUCAS ANDRADE from Brazil.

LUCAS ANDRADE holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the Universidade Federal da Bahia (UFBA), where he studied under the mentorship of Dr. Pedro Robatto. In 2023, Mr. Andrade was featured as a guest artist at ClarinetFest (Denver, CO – USA) and the VIII Festival Internacional de Clarinetes do Paraguai (Asunción – Paraguay). He currently serves as the principal clarinetist at the Orquestra Sinfônica da Paraíba, he is pursuing his doctoral degree at UFBA. Throughout his career, Mr. Andrade has been an active performer of Brazilian popular music, showcasing his versatility in various instrumental ensembles, including the group of the Brazilian singer Rosa Passos.

On Thursday 1st of August Lucas will perform a wide repertoire of original compositions, Choro songs and brazilian jazz music accompanied by some great musicians based in Dublin.

On the day there will also be a phenomenal performance from the Clarinet Quintet of Lucas Andrade.

Founded in 2012, the TEKOHÁ Clarinet Quartet has a repertoire that ranges from concert music to Brazilian Popular Music. The group has been performing in important Brazilian clarinet events and abroad. The group is formed by Jônatas Zacarias, Genilson Costa, Amandy Bandeira, Lucas Andrade and Marcos Cohen.

Arthur's is the nearest pub on the route to The Guinness Storehouse, one of the city's foremost tourist attractions. It is popular both with locals and tourists. Naturally it has the freshest pint of Guinness in all of Ireland.
