The Kind of News Series is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland to connect newly emerging jazz artists with professional musicians from Ireland's thriving jazz scene. Each band is comprised of one professional musician and three newly emerging artists.

Jenna Harris is a vocalist, composer, and educator from Dublin. Jenna specialises in jazz and improvised music. She performs regularly as a solo artist and with her band Berri, a three piece with leading creative musicians Matthew Jacobson and Derek Whyte where Jenna frequently loops and processes her voice, “a group that makes clear the difference between a jazz singer and a singer of jazz songs" (The Irish Times). Jenna regularly collaborates with guitarist and electronic musician Daniel Jacobson (Zoid) and is a member of guitarist Tommy Halferty’s quartet Voices. She is the founding member of vocal group Claritas. Jenna is a lecturer on the BA in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance at Dublin City University where she lectures in Voice, Instrumental Skills & Labs, Ensemble Repertoire & Performance, and Aural Training. In 2022 Jenna founded the Gender Balance Awareness platform in DCU Jazz, and she is a faculty member of Jazz Camp for Girls.
