“Mesmerising" THE IRISH TIMES

Antoni O’Breskey is an Italian-born composer and pianist with Argentinian roots.
He introduced improvised-style piano into Irish and Flamenco music during the early 80's, blending it with blues and creating a unique jazz piano style.

In ‘79, he released ‘Irish Meet the Blues’, praised for its innovative fusion of Irish tradition and Blues.

In ‘88, with his work ‘Al Kamar’ he brought together Irish music, Jazz, Flamenco and the music from the Maghreb.
This project premiered in Paris at Theatre La Cigale, Le Cirque d’Hiver and l’Institut du Monde Arabe with special guests Manu Di Bangu and Jacques Higelin, toured worldwide, and captivated audiences.

‘92 saw the release of ‘Orekan’, a groundbreaking symphonic concept that united classical piano with instruments from diverse ethnic traditions.

For many years he was gathering together extraordinary musicians from all over the world, and recording more than 35 albums.
