Event Description
Collusion is a fusion of jazz, pop, funk and world music, filtered through a neo-soul sensibility, comprising a set of innovative and surprising new arrangements of familiar tunes along with fresh original compositions that simultaneously echo the traditions of the past and forge ahead into new musical territories.
Featuring Emily Jane Cooke on vocals, James Fennell on piano, Karl Clews on bass, and Niall Crichton on drums, Collusion are conspiring to break some musical boundaries, defy genre preconceptions and challenge audience expectations on 8 March.
The Kind of New Series is proudly funded by The Arts Council of Ireland to connect Ireland's newly emerging and student jazz musicians with established professionals for special one-off performances. We are delighted to bring these performances to Newpark Academy of Music, an iconic centre of jazz and improvised music learning in Ireland. All ages are welcome to this performance.
