Acclaimed Dublin-born singer-songwriter Jennifer McMahon is thrilled to announce the release of her new EP, Willow, set to debut on August 30th, 2024. This five-track collection showcases McMahon's signature warm and lush sound, a modern homage to the timeless essence of 60’s soul music. A musical journey that transports listeners to an era where heartfelt melodies and soulful rhythms reigned supreme. With rich, velvety vocals and textured instrumental arrangements, McMahon's latest work is influences by artists like Aretha Franklin, Leon Bridges and Jeff Buckley, while infusing her unique contemporary flair.

Willow is a 5 track EP written and produced by Jennifer McMahon. Recorded between Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville in November 2021 and The Barn of Music (formerly Beechpark Studios) in Dublin in 2022. The sophomore album from Jennifer McMahon, the record leans into Jennifer's influences in old-school soul music while the lyrics remain the focal point.

In celebration of Willow, McMahon will also embark on an Irish tour starting in August. Kicking off with a special release concert at Dublin’s The Bello Bar on August 30th, 2024, the tour will then continue through Limerick and Naas.

Bringing the EP to a live setting for the first time, alongside music from McMahon’s debut album, listeners will be brought through a musical landscape of soul, contemporary jazz and folk. Jennifer will be joined by long time collaborators Baz Rycraft on bass, Hugh Denman on drums and EP featured Darren Giles on guitar. Support Acts TBA.

Jennifer is a singer, songwriter, instrumentalist and producer from Dublin. She holds a masters in music from Berklee College of Music where she recorded and self- produced her debut album Part of The Whole with more than 20 musicians from over 10 countries. From an eclectic musical household, her earliest musical memories involved groups like The Drifters, The Supremes and ABBA. A backdrop of grunge and rap music, with thanks to her brothers, instilled even more curiosity about music. Entering college in Ballyfermot, she dived into the music of the great songwriters of our time before continuing into jazz studies in Dublin and later, developing her own musical voice while living and studying in Spain. A musical melting pot, Jennifer's influences range from Jeff Buckley to Esperanza Spalding and Sam Cooke. Willow is a return to the singer-songwriter, with major soul influences. McMahon is praised for her soulful voice and evocative lyrics. With a growing fanbase, she continues to make her mark on the music industry with each new release.
