Welcome to In the Groove, a brand-new YouTube series from Jazz Ireland, where we bring you closer to the artists shaping the vibrant Irish jazz scene.

Last week, we had the pleasure of chatting with Charlie Moon at his place in Stoneybatter ahead of Organ Freeman’s upcoming album release, “Busy Work”. Huge thanks to Charlie for welcoming us into his home.

During the interview, Charlie talked about his introduction into music, early influences, Organ Freeman and their residency at The Big Romance, the new album and release concert, the Irish jazz scene, and his future plans.

Make sure to catch Organ Freeman’s upcoming album launch concert in Arthur’s Blues & Jazz Club on April 3rd featuring Charlie Moon (guitar), Darragh Hennessy (organ), Dominic Mullan (drums), and Michael Buckley (saxophone).
