Legendary Irish Jazz Guitarist Tommy Halferty has been performing & composing for the last 35 years and in that time has gained a wealth of experience performing with musicians from all over the world such as Lee Konitz, Benny Golson, Seamus Blake, Norma Winstone and many more….Born in Derry, Northern Ireland, Halferty began his musical career in the late 70s taking Jazz Guitar lessons with Louis Stewart, a worldclass jazz musician. Some of his earliest appearances playing publicly were with bands such as `Jump' - a jazz-fusion group and later on `Nunn' - a trio of flute, double bass and guitar.

This October sees AERIE return to Irish shores eight years after their ‘hatch and host’ tour here in 2016 launched their debut album. The pan-European jazz group has since released two more albums and performed over 90 shows around Europe and Asia. They have also had a change in the bass chair and are now a quartet instead of a quintet, but they pack no less of a punch in their high-energy, adventurous performances.
We’re delighted to welcome back to the club Ciaran Wilde, a Feis Ceoil winner, who studied in the Dublin College of Music (now the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama) under Tim Hanafin.
Sonic Saliva is embarking on a new and exciting adventure. They have released their self titled debut album on February 17th of this year, the album was later released on vinyl in June. The album is written by Copenhagen based Irish singer and songwriter Richard Farrell and Danish/Hungarian composer Fabian Vang Lauridsen, mixed and produced Søren Bøjgaard(Alongside Fabian Vang Lauridsen).

Clement Regert, a French guitarist from Paris, has been making waves in the UK music scene since 2005. Endorsed by AER Amplification & Godin guitars, Regert has graced prestigious venues and festivals, collaborating with acclaimed artists such as Marcus Strickland and Tim Garland.Steve Taylor, a versatile percussionist, has collaborated with notable artists, contributing to the acclaimed Jazz FM album of the week, ‘Bloom,’ with songwriter and guitarist Rosie Frater-Taylor. His powerful drumming style has earned praise from the likes of Bluey of Incognito and Jazzwise magazine.
The always exciting Richie on tenor sax with his good friend and musical foil, Brenda on piano, this will be a hugely 'good time' gig to celebrate the gathering for ROLLING SUN BOOK FESTIVAL.
