As the bassist for Dublin's genre-blurring outfit Shy Mascot, Tobin is the kind of musician who thrives on contradiction. His deep love for the smooth, groove-laden worlds of Jamiroquai and Massive Attack finds a unique counterpoint in his affection for the gritty, down-tuned riffs of Alice in Chains. This eclectic taste becomes the backbone of Shy Mascot's distinctive sound—a fluid blend of trip-hop, jazz, funk, and hip hop.
