Immram is a setting by Neil Ó Lochlainn for chamber ensemble, reciter, and singer of the Immram suite of poems written by Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill and published in her collection Feis (1991). The music was commissioned by Paddy Bushe and the Amergin Solstice Poetry Gathering in 2019. The term 'Immram' meaning Voyage, is a type of tale found in mythological Irish writing that depicts a protagonist's sea journey to the otherworld and the adventures that ensue.

Bray Jazz Festival will present a double bill programme for Culture Night in 2024, showcasing how two groups have approached, in a unique way, how traditional Irish music can be incorporated into jazz and improvised music.

CHANGO Flamenco-Jazz Fusion is an exciting project with Spanish Fatima Lucia (dancer and vocals), French-North African Alain Halimi (clarinet), Denis Mc Auliff (mandolin and fiddle) from Co.Clare and Spanish guitarist Javier Mula. This collaboration blends the lifelong musical experiences of these four artists, exploring innovation and fusion with deep respect for the diverse traditions from their unique backgrounds.

QOW TRIO is a unique multi-generational jazz band featuring award-winning young firebrand saxophonist Riley Stone-Lonergan, storied British Jazz legend Spike Wells on drums, and multi-genre bassist and bandleader Eddie Myer. The band arose out of a chance meeting at the Verdict Jazz Club in Brighton and, despite the three musicians’ differences in age, it soon became clear that they had much in common - a love of the lineage of big-toned tenor players matched with an appreciation for the wide-open possibilities of the chordless trio, a deep appreciation of the tradition alongside a fearless appetite for exploration, a commitment to the timeless values of melody and swing mixed with a willingness to take risks - all undepinned with a mission to make the music communicate directly to the listener.

Step back in time with The Honeydews as they present The Story of the Andrews Sisters- a dazzling journey through the rise, the rivalries and the scandals of the iconic trio that defined an era.  This isn’t just a concert; it’s a full-throttle dive into the highs and lows of the sisters’ tumultuous career, from their chart-topping hits to the dramatic tales of fame, greed and betrayal.

American saxophonist and composer Benjamin Boone a Professor of Music at California State University Fresno, came to collaborate with this all-star band of John Daly (drums), Joe O’Callaghan (guitar) & Dan Bodwell (bass) while serving a U.S. Fulbright Scholar at the University of Limerick’s Irish World Academy of Music and Dance in 2022-23. This show features tunes created for the newly recorded album Confluence : including “The Clash of the Ash,” “She Moved Through the Fair,” and “On the Banks of the Shannon,”and other great new compositions. "

Organ Freeman – Irish jazz organ trio

Organ Freeman specialises in the music of the bebop and hard bop idioms of the early 1950s and 60s. Playing standards by composers such as Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, and many more in the classic organ trio format.

Fiadh Rua Gregg is a vocalist, songwriter and voice teacher working across Ireland and Scotland. Fiadh creates and performs in the band Shy Mascot, with whom she has played at various festivals and venues such as All Together Now 2023 and Bray Jazz Festival 2024. Since 2022, Gregg has performed in a trio with Elspeth Tugwell (Guitar) and Lara Sweeney (Piano, Saxophone) at venues such as The Jazz Bar, Edinburgh, and at Edinburgh Arts Fair 2023.
