Guitarist Andreas Varady has come a long way since entering the international jazz scene at the age of 13. Whilst still living in Limerick, he traveled worldwide, performing on every continent, with highlight shows at Montreux Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s and the New York and Tokyo Blue Note clubs as a guest of his manager Quincy Jones. He also toured with music legend George Benson on several tours as his support act in the US and Europe and released his self-titled second album on Verve Music with guest appearances from Gregory Porter and Roy Hargrove.

Scott Flanigan is one of the foremost keyboard players on the Irish jazz scene. He has been making a name for himself as a side man over the last few years with Van Morrison, the Ulster Orchestra, Larry Coryell, Jean Toussaint, Jim Mullen and many others. On this outing, Scott turns his hand to organ in the classic guitar/Hammond/drums format. Joining him is the exquisite John Moriarty on guitar and acclaimed drummer Kevin Brady.

Organ Freeman – Irish jazz organ trio

Organ Freeman specialises in the music of the bebop and hard bop idioms of the early 1950s and 60s. Playing standards by composers such as Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, and many more in the classic organ trio format.

Hayley Kavanagh, a Dublin-based saxophonist and flautist, returned to Ireland in 2023 after spending a total of seven years living in Prague and Berlin. Since her return, Hayley has been actively engaged in the Jazz scene in Dublin. Regularly taking the stage, she leads various ensembles and contributes as a sideman in collaborative projects. She is also the co-founder of the Arthur’s Jazz Jam in Arthur’s Blues & Jazz Club and the Jazz Event Guide ‘Cookin’ Dublin’.

Mermaid Arts Centre are delighted to welcome Seckou Keita to the stage this September.Seckou Keita is a renowned Kora (African Harp) virtuoso who stands as a luminary amongst African traditional musicians. Hailing from Southern Senegal, his journey from a gifted child to a globally recognised musician has been nothing short of remarkable. Dubbed as "the Hendrix of the Kora'', Seckou's innovative approach and exceptional skill constantly pushes the boundaries of what the instrument can achieve. With a discography boasting 14 critically-acclaimed albums cumulating over 25 million streams on Spotify alone, and a collection of prestigious awards, including multiple BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards, Seckou Keita has left an indelible mark on the music scene.

bonzai are the newest jazz band on the Dublin music scene, to celebrate the release of their first single 'Flowers' the bonzai boys are joined by Korteh in Arthurs on Monday September 30th.

Jazz jam session every Monday, hosted by Paul Dunlea. This is the original Jazz Improv in the city and features as part of the  Cork jazz festival every Oct. All players welcome.
