14:00 | United Kingdom - The Black Box

Derry-based composer/songwriter/performer Neil Burns presents his new album, ‘Golden Sunsets’, in a live premiere. Having graced Brilliant Corners in 2022 as Comrade Hat, his jazz/alt-pop alter ego, he returns with a new album and sound, released this time under his own name. Attempting to get to the heart of his practice, it finds him juggling songwriting, arranging and improvisation in a cinematic, evocative and lush sonic journey. Invoking chamber music, jazz, suave tango, sultry Bossa, via chanson and shanty, it’s brought to life by a stellar ensemble with horns, strings, and voice.
