Organ Freeman – Irish jazz organ trio
Organ Freeman specialises in the music of the bebop and hard bop idioms of the early 1950s and 60s. Playing standards by composers such as Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter, and many more in the classic organ trio format.
This October sees AERIE return to Irish shores eight years after their ‘hatch and host’ tour here in 2016 launched their debut album. The pan-European jazz group has since released two more albums and performed over 90 shows around Europe and Asia. They have also had a change in the bass chair and are now a quartet instead of a quintet, but they pack no less of a punch in their high-energy, adventurous performances.
Three Thirds is a Paris-based trio of friends that blends modern grooves, synth sounds, smooth bass lines and pretty melodies to create a sound that is deep and soulful.
